We have had the privilege of designing many bathrooms and powder rooms for customers over the years ranging from the small powder room to the larger master bathroom suites with walk-in showers, double-sink vanities and large hot tubs. Putting together a bathroom that will make your neighbors jealous and finally give you a chance to use those bath soaps your friend bought you for your birthday is something that we do every day. If you aren’t ready to have a designer help you with your bathroom renovation at this time, check out some of our decorating ideas below.

Things to Consider When Designing a Bathroom
If you are not loving your current bathroom or powder room, it may be time for an upgrade. Bathroom renovations are typically a great investment in your home since you will get a good portion of your investment back when you sell the home (assuming the design is tasteful). The tough part about renovating a bathroom is deciding how much of the space you should update.
Light Bathroom Renovation
If you are looking for a way to freshen up your bathroom or powder room, a light renovation of your space is probably all you need. If you need help with this, we can give you some quick pointers during a Single Design Session. Typically we recommend things like painting the space, replacing outdated light fixtures, replacing faucet fixtures, adding new handles on cabinets and possibly replacing the towel bars and toilet paper holders.
Full Bathroom Renovations
The tricky part with bathroom renovations is that once you start replacing a few things (fixture, cabinet, toilet) it sometimes makes sense to replace everything in the space so that it all looks updated. Many times we run into bathrooms where everything was updated but the toilet and floor tile. It seems like a waste of money to us to not spend the extra $500 – $1000 to replace the final few items in the room that will make the space look amazing.
