In most homes and condos in Chicago, the home office is a critical space that is many times underutilized. When beginning a home office interior design project, you and your design team should always take into account how you will use the space. For some families, you need a small home office space that can be used for paying bills, going through documents and storing other important paperwork.
With smaller home offices, this office space may also need to double as a guest bedroom or may need to be located within the kitchen (like this recent Kitchen design project we completed in Lincoln Park) or a family room. Larger families may need a space where children can work or play video games at the computer or do their homework. For other households, you need a full-blown office that can accommodate one to two family members who telecommute or work from home on a daily basis while being able to hide away all of the large electronics like a printer, cable modem and office supplies with a closet organization system like the Elfa system from the Container Store.
We welcome you to take a look through our home office interior design portfolio of projects that we recently completed in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs that we service. Feel free to use our past projects as inspiration for your own home office. If you feel a bit intimated by design, feel free to get in touch with us so we can help you design your own home office space that fits your needs.
