Fall Decorating Trends for 2017

With the start of the school year, we know it is the beginning of the favorite season for many – Fall!  Cool, crisp nights, bonfires and s’mores call you to snuggle in.  We see the need for coziness come alive in home décor, too. We wanted to share with you some of the best interior design and decorating trends we are seeing for the fall season.

The all white and gray palette is out for the fall. Instead people are opting for rich shades of black, green, blush and brown. No need to scrap your sofa! You can incorporate these trends in your pillows and throws. Check out this fantastic pillow from West Elm and great throw from Surya.

You’ll also see a movement towards antique brass replacing copper and rose gold which have become tired – with a capital T.

Luxe Materials

Velvet is making a comeback. Its soft hand is perfect for the cozy feeling people long for in the fall. The days of all white bedding are numbered, too.  Instead people are opting for color and richness.  Both the velvet trend and the need for rich color are shown in these comfy quilts.

Woven texture, like this pendant light add some depth and richness to a space, too.
